Public Work's Activity Report- March

The Baby Pool has been completely removed and ground prepared for the new Splash Pad. While that area was all excavated we also removed and replaced the main drain valve to the big pool. This should help with some of the pool leakage we have experienced the last few years. We will be meeting with the contractor in the next couple days to layout the water supply and drain system for the Splash Pad. It looks like we may actually get started on it sometime in early April!

As always we have had a few water leaks to repair this past month as with a few sewers that had to be rodded.

Both entrance gates to our well field northeast of town have been replaced. The hinges had rusted off one and the other ones post had broken off at the ground.

We are trying to replace the damaged and broken water meter pits around town. People have been driving over them and breaking the lids and caving in the pits. People park on top of them therefore making it impossible to read that meter.

Our Dixon mower had to go to Medford for some repairs. The compression test didn't do so well. We will try to make it last one more year before looking for a replacement. This mower has went over a lot ground the last eight years.
