Minutes of Special Meeting – June 17th, 2020

 

The Caldwell City Commission met in special session at the Caldwell Public Works Building on June 17th, 2020 at 12:06 p.m.  Mayor Jamie York was present. Commissioners Jill Kuehny and  Michelle Schiltz were present. Rebekah Rickstrew, Chief of Police, and Josh Vanek, Public Works Foreman were present. 

 

The minutes of the June 3rd, 2020 Regular Meeting were read and approved with the noted changes with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Commissioner Kuehny. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes.  

 

Bids were presented for the demolition of 116, 116 ½, 118, and 120 E 1st St. After review and discussion, a motion was made by Commissioner Kuehny and seconded by Commissioner Schiltz to approve the bid from G&G Dozer. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes. 

  

Resolution No. 8-2020: Lifeguard Wage was presented and approved with a motion from Commissioner Kuehny and seconded by Commissioner Schiltz. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes.

 

The Pool Contract was reviewed and discussed. It was noted that Troy Dierking, City Attorney had advised that the Mayor be listed as the Authorized Officer. The Contract was approved pending the noted change with a motion from  Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Commissioner Kuehny. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes.  

 

Bids for the water well maintenance were presented and reviewed. A motion was made by Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Commissioner Kuehny to approve the bid from Alexander Pump & Service to mobilize and acidize 3 wells. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes.  

 

The KanOkla Service Charge Agreement was presented and approved with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor York. York – yes, Kuehny – yes, Schiltz – yes.  

 

At 12:20 p.m., Commissioner Schiltz made a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss the Trade Secrets for 30 minutes. Josh Vanek, Public Works Foremen was asked to be present. Her motion was seconded by Commissioner Kuehny. Executive Session concluded at 12:41 p.m.  No motions were made.  

 

There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:41 p.m.
