 Minutes of Meeting – February 20th, 2019

 

The Caldwell City Commission met in regular session at the Caldwell Public Works Building on February 20th, 2019 at 12:04 p.m.  Mayor P.  Mark Arnold was present.  Commissioner Michelle Schiltz was present. Leah Sommerhoff, Deputy City Clerk, Marc Marcrum, Public Works Foreman, and Rebekah Rickstrew, Police Officer were also present.

 

The minutes of the February 8th, 2019 Regular Meeting were read and approved on a motion from Commissioner Schiltz, and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Motion Carried.

 

The January Treasurer’s Report and Bank Cash Report were reviewed and approved with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – absent, Schiltz – yes.

 

Marc Marcrum, Public Works Foreman presented the Public Works Monthly Report. It was noted that although the pool still has a small leak, fixes have been completed to allow for the pool to open this summer. It was also noted that the 2015 F250 has been outfitted and wired. The 2003 F250 that it has replaced, along with the bed and tool boxes that are not interchangeable will be listed on Purple Wave in the upcoming months. It was also noted that on March 5th KRWA and Utility Contractors, Inc. will be here to place a hydraulic seal with an epoxy bond on a leak at the clear well. It was noted that the clear well was built in 1949.

 

It was noted that Caldwell will be participating in the statewide Tornado Safety Drill on March 5th at 10:100am.

 

The engineering contract with Paddock Pools for new pool construction was presented and reviewed. A motion for approval pending review and recommendation by the City Attorney was made by Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – absent, Schiltz – yes.

 

An Alcohol Consumption Exemption Application for Park Place was submitted for June 15th, 2019. The application was approved with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – absent, Schiltz – yes.

 

The Lease Purchase Documents for the 2015 F250 were presented, approved and signed with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – absent, Schiltz – yes.

 

Appropriation Ordinance 2165 was approved with a motion from Commissioner Schiltz and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – absent, Schiltz – yes. 

 

There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 12:23 p.m.
