Caldwell City Commission
Minutes of Meeting – February 15th, 2017
The Caldwell City Commission met in regular session at the Caldwell Public Works Building on February 15th, 2017 at 12:10 p.m. Mayor P. Mark Arnold presided. Commissioner present was Jill Kuehny. Casie Risley, City Administrator was presented. Shannon & Craig Hamlin, as well as Brooke Garzone were present as guests from Power Play.
The minutes of the February 1st, 2017 Regular Meeting were read and approved with a motion from Commissioner Kuehny, seconded by Mayor Arnold. Motion Carried.
Craig Hamlin, Power Play, gave a presentation regarding the idea of a splash pad at the Park. It was noted that there are some grants available for splash pads. He will put together a rendering and get back to us.
The January Treasurer’s Report & Cash Report were presented and reviewed.
The 2016 Year End Budget & Revenue Report were also presented and reviewed.
It was noted that the Caldwell Senior Citizens Center was awarded a USDA-RD Grant for the repair of their roof in the amount of $2,900.
Incentives such as appliances and forgivable mortgages for the City Housing Project at 11 S St Mary’s were discussed.
It was noted that the transmission has gone out on the City car. A motion for repair was made for the lowest bid by Commissioner Kuehny and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – yes, Wood – absent.
At 12:57 p.m. Commissioner Kuehny made a motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss trade secrets for 5 minutes. Her motion was seconded by Mayor Arnold.
At 1:02 p.m. Mayor Arnold made a motion to extend Executive Session for 5 minutes. His motion was seconded by Commissioner Kuehny. Executive Session was adjourned at 1:07 p.m.
Appropriation Ordinance 2117, as well as 2114, 2115, & 2116 was approved with a motion from Commissioner Kuehny and seconded by Mayor Arnold. Arnold – yes, Kuehny – yes, Wood -absent.
There being no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 1:23 p.m.
